“Art is the Escape from the Personality.” T. S. Elliot
I don’t make this art for you, I make it for me. And, frankly, I resent the fact that you are asking me for a statement of my art. My art is my statement, everything else is just stale seasoning.
My Artist Statement is counter intuitive: my art should be judged exclusively on it’s own merits, individually, then based on the collection, like how you digest a music album. But before you listen to a CD, do you Wikipedia a band? No. So don’t do that to me. If you haven’t seen my art in person, then you are wrong for trying to judge it from my words. Stop reading this because you are fucking up your perspective, and that is the most important part of Neoteric Deconstruction.
My words can only contaminate my art.
The place my art comes from is compartmentalized in a room full of circus mirrors, down the street and around the corner from where I sit down at a desk and type in all the dimensions and numbers and date them like a good little pod person artist. My art is my 24/7 therapist and confidant and you are essentially asking to see my file that therapist keeps, and that is illegal. I think you are a criminal for even asking.
So here is your fucking artist statement. I hope you are happy with yourself.
